The problem

Texas A&M's Natural Resources Institute estimates there are about 2.6 million feral hogs in Texas, causing roughly $800 million in damage every year (source). A single sounder can root up a hay meadow overnight, flatten a cornfield, wreck fences and water troughs, and foul stock tanks and creeks. Sows can have two litters a year, so a small problem becomes a big one fast.

How signup works

  1. Fill in the form with your location, the damage you see and the methods you allow.
  2. We call you to talk through the property — access, livestock, gates and any times or areas that are off-limits.
  3. We match you with a hunter or trapper who works with our plant and covers your area.
  4. You stay in control. You decide who comes on your land, when, and how. The hogs are taken to our plant.

What you decide

Trapping is often the most effective way to take out a whole sounder at once, while hunting and dogs keep pressure on hogs that avoid traps. Many properties use both.
