How your order is packed
- Every cut is vacuum sealed and frozen solid at the plant.
- Packs go into an insulated foam cooler inside a corrugated box.
- We add dry ice sized to the route and season, so the meat is still frozen or refrigerator-cold when it arrives.
- The box ships with a tracking number, which we text or email you on ship day.
When it arrives
- Open the box as soon as possible and put everything straight into the freezer.
- Packs that arrive frozen or partly frozen with ice crystals can be refrozen safely.
- Packs that arrive thawed but still cold to the touch (40°F or below) are safe; refrigerate and cook them within three days, or refreeze them.
- Handle dry ice carefully. Do not touch it with bare hands, do not seal it in an airtight container and let it evaporate in a ventilated place, away from children and pets.
If something goes wrong
If a package arrives warm, damaged or late, call us at 254-315-1289 within 24 hours of delivery and send photos of the box and the product. If the product is not safe to use, we replace it or refund it. We cannot take responsibility for packages left unattended after a confirmed delivery or sent to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.
Whole hogs and large orders
Whole hogs, carcasses and wholesale pallets ship by refrigerated freight or can be collected at the plant. We quote freight separately. See wholesale.
Gifts
Send wild boar as a gift: put the recipient's address on the order form and add a gift message in the notes. We leave prices off the packing slip.
